Adventure belongs to all of us

Your far horizon.
Made real.

I have spent 25 years learning that a remarkable journey does more than take us somewhere new—it brings us home to ourselves. I created Terranova to help you make that journey with confidence.

A great journey changes more than your location.

It changes your sense of what is possible.

I know how powerful the dream can feel—and how intimidating the first step can be. I will meet you there, listen to the journey you imagine, and bring the field experience, technology, cultural understanding, and honest guidance needed to make it real.

Every place taught a lesson.
Every lesson now serves you.

These are not pins on a map. They are chapters in Wilson’s life—and the foundation of how Terranova helps clients travel with greater confidence, depth, and freedom.

Read the landscape

Along the chalk cliffs of Étretat, weather, history, and terrain change the rhythm of a journey. The route should follow the place—not fight it.

For you: thoughtful pacing, seasonal judgment, and routes with meaning.

Know when to cross

A sanctuary has stood on this tidal rock since 708, and through the Middle Ages pilgrims crossed the bay toward the abbey that rose above it. Built over centuries in one of Europe’s most demanding natural settings, Mont-Saint-Michel is an enduring lesson in adapting a bold vision to difficult terrain, powerful tides, and the passage of time.

For you: read the conditions, choose the right moment, and turn a distant vision into a journey you are ready to make.

Make space for stillness

At Playa Negra, the road ends at dark volcanic sand and the Pacific horizon. The Land Cruiser may carry us across difficult terrain, but the journey becomes meaningful when the engine goes quiet and we give ourselves time to truly arrive.

For you: a journey designed with enough freedom to pause, reconnect, and remember why you came.

Travel through people

In Guatapé, even everyday transportation becomes a canvas. Beneath El Peñol, hand-painted mototaxis carry color, humor, and local identity through the streets—a reminder that culture is not scenery. It is lived, created, and shared by the people who call a place home.

For you: culturally fluent journeys, multilingual support, and human connection.

Build confidence into the plan

Watching my son paddle into the immense stillness of Moraine Lake made the purpose of preparation feel deeply personal. Across Glacier, Yellowstone, Jasper, Banff, the Redwood forests, and Oregon’s coast, I learned that remoteness becomes freedom when equipment, communications, and judgment work as one system.

For you: an expedition plan that creates the confidence to explore—and the space for your family’s own unforgettable moments.

One vision.
A field-ready plan.

Whether you are planning a once-in-a-lifetime road journey or building a connected remote operation, the work begins with where you want to go—and why.

Far enough to listen.
Still enough to remember.
Fully here.

The journey is not only the miles behind us. It is the quiet we make room for—the open door, a book in the hammock, and time returning to our own hands.

Wilson’s solar-equipped Mercedes-Benz Sprinter carrying the family’s mountain bikesThe road became our classroom

The road became a classroom for life.

For Wilson, adventure is not an escape. It is a way of returning to life more awake, capable, and connected.

Across roughly 25 years, he has explored the Atlantic edges of Normandie and Bretagne, Costa Rica’s rainforests, Panama’s remote islands, Colombia’s Coffee Region and Cartagena, and the great overland corridors of North America.

His family transformed a Mercedes-Benz van into a solar-powered, satellite-connected “Everest Base Camp.” For a decade, the open road became a family classroom—proof that life, learning, and meaningful work can be built almost anywhere.

His IT and advisory career adds the discipline behind the dream. Wilson has helped bring solar-powered classrooms, satellite internet, and AI tools to remote communities in the Colombian Andes. Terranova unites both halves of his life: human adventure and resilient technology.

Proof from the road

@vivalavanlife is the continuing visual record behind this work—overlanding across the Americas in a 2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, learning in public, and living the advice Terranova gives.

“I want to help you cross the distance between imagining a remarkable journey and becoming ready to live it.”
